  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Mandated healthcare insurance and health insurance reform are not new ideas.

But I love how these guys can point to the monstrosity in our hands now and say, "this is what you wanted forty years ago."

Is Skippy trying to imply that we chose this? Someday we're going to find out what Valerie Jarrett has on John Roberts.

It's almost as though the leftists around here have never heard of Jonathan Gruber.

    Selective memory retention?.

Miss Val, needs to be taken to the gallows, PUBLICLY.

NO, this is not what was wanted 40 years ago, tort reform was wanted, open competition was wanted, personal choice was wanted, none of which we got today.

Major carriers? I'm pretty sure they're still there. Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Aetna. Who am I missing?

Obama care and the Heritage plans are very similar.

Are you aware that the Heritage Foundation is a conservative think tank?

The idea is older than Hillary.

And it's funny you mention United Healthcare. They've cut all budgeting for the marketing of Obamacare. By law they're required to give you a policy if you knock on the door and ask for one, but they spend zero on sales and marketing.

    Zero.

They lose money on every single policy they write. They are not expected to last to the end of 2017.

It's also funny that you mentioned Aetna. Currently in Obama's doghouse, because this past winter they had several emergency board meetings on Obamacare, and the CEO of Aetna publicly expressed doubts about Obamacare's sustainability.

It was in news. The real news.

Blue Cross: you have a point. They'll be the last standing. Because they're pseudo-governmental, like the Postal Service, and have no choice.

Yet, neither fixed the real problems, did they?

The Republican bill did not expand Medicaid as Obamacare does, and it did have medical malpractice tort reform, which the current law does not. In contrast to the current employer mandate, the Chafee bill required employers to offer insurance, but they were under no obligation to help pay for it.

The true Conservatives never endorsed the '93 bill. The GOP '09 proposal is more to my liking.

    Below, are the facts.

Insurer ACA Exchange Participation Declines in 2016

Among the 45 exchange exits, 14 can be characterized as involuntary since they resulted from state insurance regulators barring carriers deemed financially unsound from issuing new policies and renewing expiring policies. Eleven of those exits were due to the collapse of co-op insurers, created under another provision of the ACA, in light of other indicators, that experience suggests that insurer participation in the ACA exchanges is likely to further decline in 2017.

Stumbler and Kimiko used to claim that Obamacare is a Republican invention championed by Heritage. The notion was debunked years ago, but people are still repeating it.

Maybe we should just own up to it and rename it "HeritageCare."

Heritage fucked up, no doubt about it. However, The assertion that the ACA was the moon child of the Heritage Foundation is simply bullshit, and I say this with no little humility, never in recent years, other than '09 have Republicans at the national level ever actually favored any significant plan for health-care reform.

Yet as of today, they still dont favor any significant legislation that trumps ACA, and actually fixes what needs to be fixed.

To add, I do miss those 2.

I don't think you know the meaning of the word " debunked". Even so, debunked by whom?

I'm still waiting for those "major" insurers.

I already tore holes in two of the three insurance carriers that you, yourself cited. Both Aetna and UHC have been in the financial news for the past three quarters, due to problems with Obamacare. Either you know this and you're just being a crank, or you don't know this and it's not my job to educate you.

And as for the third carrier you cited, Blue Cross, it is a bogus example, for the reason I gave. Blue Cross as you well know is a quasi-governmental entity.

Call me whatever you want, and make your bogus accusations. I don't care. I don't care what you believe.

And by the way, ROM: Wall St. Journal. They charge subscription fees for online content, so I can't give you links. If you really care (and I know you don't), go to a library.

A library, for your information, is a big house where whitey stores all his books. And da Man keeps old newspapers there, too. ;)
