CBSE Board Result 2024 Live Updates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the class 10 and class 12 board results 2024 on May 13 (Monday). As many as 87.98% have cleared the 12th exams this year and 93.60% have passed class 10. Girls have outperformed boys yet again. Trivandrum is the top-performing district this year in both CBSE 10th and 12th results. Candidates can check their marks at the official websites — results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in. Students will need their roll numbers mentioned on their admit cards to check their scores. The results are available on the UMANG app, Digilocker app, Pariksha Sangam portal, and through the SMS facility. The CBSE class 12 exams began on February 15 and ended on April 2. Students must score a minimum of 33 per cent marks to pass the CBSE class 10 and 12 exams.

CBSE Board Exams 2024: Girls Outshine Boys in Noida Region Class 12
In both grades, girls performed better than boys. In Class 12, girls passed with a pass percentage of 91.52 per cent compared to boys’ 85.12 per cent, and in Class 10, girls passed with a pass rate of 94.75 per cent compared to boys’ 92.71 per cent. The trend of girls performing better extends beyond the country’s overall pass rates. In regions such as Noida and Ghaziabad, females consistently outperformed boys in CBSE board examinations, as seen by the huge gap in pass percentages among class 12 students over the years.

CBSE Latest News: Class 10 and 12 Board Exams in 2024-25
During the declaration of class 12 board exam results on May 13, CBSE also shared a press release. It mentioned that the examination for the next academic year (2024-25) will begin on February 15, 2025 for both classes 10 and 12. Nevertheless, later in the academic year 2024–2025, the board will release the comprehensive test schedule, or CBSE Date Sheet for 2025.

As the CBSE Class 10 Board Results were announced, a total of 11,253 students scored full marks in the mathematics standard subject. Apart from that, around 6,700 and 6,269 students scored a perfect 100 in subjects like Sanskrit and artificial intelligence, respectively.

CBSE Results 2024: Supplementary Exams, Re-evaluation
As per the official schedule, the CBSE supplementary exams will be held from July 15. The process for verification of the marks for class 12 is from May 17 to 21 and for class 10, it is from May 20 to 24. Students have to pay Rs 500 per subject for verification of marks as well as for obtaining photocopies of evaluated marksheets. The re-evaluation fee per subject is Rs 100.

How CBSE 9-point Grading System Works?
The CBSE works with a 9-point grading system (from A1 to E) depending on the numbers scored by each candidate. A1 is the highest grade achievable while grade E will be given to the students who fail the exam. The top 1/8th passed candidates will be awarded Grade A1, similarly the next 1/8th grade A2. Grades B1 and B2 will be awarded to the subsequent 1/8th passed candidates. Just like that, C1-C2-D1-D2 grades will be given to the following 1/8th passed candidates. Grade E will be given to those who fail the exam.
CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2024: Subject Wise Passing Criteria
To pass the exam, the candidates need to score a minimum of 33 marks out of 100 in each subject. In the subjects involving both practical and theory then the candidates need to achieve 33 percent marks in both separately to successfully clear the exam. For Maths, Science, Social Science, and English theory exams, the students need to score 27 marks out of 80. However, for the Practical exams, all the candidates must score at least 6 marks out of 20 to clear the examination.
